VP - Private Equity

Job description / Role

Charterhouse are working with a diversified Local Group who are looking to add an experienced VP or Principal to their Direct Investments Team. The newly created Investment Team focus on Direct Investments across the private markets, all with a view to diversify their portfolios.

The VP will work closely with the head of the division and play a critical role in carving out and developing their investment mandate and thesis. The role will cover the full deal life cycle from origination, execution and portfolio management of existing assets. The team cover a broad range of transactions (Primary, Secondary, Mezzanine, LBO ect).

This role will give a broad remit and an opportunity to work on some leading transactions on a global basis across various sectors. This role would very much suit a generalist and someone who doesn’t want to be too specialised or focused with investment mandate. The VP will gain great strategy implementation exposure and play a crucial role in building out the vision and direction of the investment team moving forwards.

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate should have at least 10+ years exposure across transactions in the private markets. Having being trained in IB would be extremely beneficial.

Having regional deal experience combined with international exposure as well is a must, having ideally worked transactions across Europe and/or North America.
