Our client is a leading investment group that includes some of the world's most prestigious and well-known brands and manages a varied portfolio of assets and investments in the UAE and abroad. They are seeking to expand their leadership and hire a VP Quality and Excellence based in Abu Dhabi.

Description

* Strategy: supports the Head of Quality, Excellence & Operations (QE&O) with the development and periodic update of the Division's strategic plan, including the strategic initiatives for achieving the plan.
* Supports in leading the IA strategic program. This includes leading the PMO which oversees program governance and centrally tracks progress, risks and quality, to support the Program Steering Committee in making decisions about prioritization, resourcing and costs.

Quality and Excellence:

* Manages the delivery of the Division's Quality and Excellence Program, which incorporates the requirements of Internal Audit Standards, enabling continuous improvement of the IA Division and its processes and procedures.
* Manages the delivery and monitoring of the Division's Path to Excellence Plan, which includes actions to address significant findings from the Quality and Excellence Program, and other relevant inputs.
* Manages the communication of the Quality and Excellence Program results to senior stakeholders.
* Engagement Delivery: Participates in the IA Plan sessions to provide advice and feedback on the quality of the plans for each of the platforms.
* Manages the program from a PMO perspective, facilitating Committees to drive progress and excellence and consistency, where appropriate.

Asset Internal Audit Support:

* Supports the Head of QE&O to develop and maintain an Asset IA Toolkit for use by the Senior Advisor and the Platform teams to support the establishment of new IA functions, and the ongoing development of existing IA functions.
* Manages the Asset IA Assessment and Maturity Programs, in collaboration with Platform and Sector Heads. This involves assessing asset IA functions against IIA standards and leading practice.
* Collaborates with Platform teams to provide relevant support to asset internal audit teams.
* ADAA Engagement: Supports the Head of QE&O in coordinating the company's stakeholder management plan for the Abu Dhabi Accountability Authority, aimed at enhancing their perception of the company.

Collaboration:

* Continually updates knowledge of latest IA global best practice and identifies enhancements to the Division's IA practices for incorporation into the Path to Excellence Plan (as appropriate).
* Shares knowledge across the firm's IA Division, and asset IA teams, as appropriate. Collaborates with Platform and Functional IA peers to ensure that resources are shared where necessary, leveraging key strengths from across the Division to support efficient and high-quality delivery of the overall IA plan.
* Management Reporting: Supports the Head of QE&O with Q&E related ARCC reporting.

Functional IA Leadership and People Management:

* Plans, manages and reviews direct reports' performance to track that KPIs are achieved. Provides honest and timely feedback, development and coaching and takes prompt action, where necessary, to ensure progressive development and learning opportunities are pursued.
* Drives the team to capture and act on ideas to contribute towards the strategic direction of IA.
* Leads and supports on assigned IA strategic initiatives.
* Positively and proactively leads change relating to all work practices.

Policies and Procedures:

* Manages the development and periodic update of the Division's policies and procedures, the scope of which will cover all relevant activities above.
* Manages activities to ensure that all members of the team, including service providers, are familiar with the Division's policies and procedures.
* Undertakes all relevant activities above in line with these policies and procedures.

Requirements

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in any field. A recognized certification such as CIA, CPA, ACA, CISA, CFE or other equivalent certification.
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in internal audit in a complex organization, preferably with experience in strategic project management, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
* Ability to influence, communicate and lead discussions with Heads of Internal Audit and other senior-level management.
* In-depth knowledge of governance, risk and control frameworks and concepts, and the IIA's International Professional Practices Framework.
* Outstanding communication and presentation skills
