Job description / Role
Our client, is an extremely established infrastructure & real estate private equity business with offices and investments across the globe, and over USD 200 billion of assets under management. They are recruiting an experienced Private Equity professional to join their growing business and support their ambition to invest in the region - this will ideally be an SVP within their global corporate structure.
Our client is a global asset manager with exposure to varied asset classes within Infrastructure and Real Estate, among others. Their focus within region is currently restricted to Infrastructure & Real Estate.
The role presents an opportunity to expand our client's Infrastructure and Real Estate portfolio within the region. The VP or SVP will thus be an experienced Private Equity professional with an established regional track record and network, and will assist the regional CEO in furthering their ambition to invest in the region. This professional, with at least 5-7 years of regional experience.
* Will develop the profile of the business within the region by representing the client's brand with utmost integrity
* Will have the overall responsibility commencing from origination/ business development and due diligence; to negotiation, successful investment and value enhancement via asset management; through to successful exits
* Will thus be an expert in Real Estate (across varying sub-asset classes) and/ or Infrastructure (across varying sub-asset classes), and will have a global outlook towards either or both of these sectors, thus able to engage with stakeholders globally
* Will engage regularly in conversation with global representatives at varying levels of seniority
* Will partner regularly with professional services firms in regards to legal, operational and consultative matters
* Will assist in special projects as required

Requirements
* Will have an overall of 10-15 years of direct & relevant experience in Private Equity/ Alternative Investments , with 5-7 years in the UAE - most of this experience will be across Infrastructure and/ or Real Estate
* It is key that this candidate will have the experience of successfully investing in the UAE, and thus an innate understanding of accompanying processes and service partners
* Will have an excellent academic track record from top-tier institutions; will be Degree qualified and preferably have an MBA/ CFA
* Will have worked at an organisation of international and/ or global pedigree
* Will have excellent communication and presentation skills
* Arabic is not a pre-requisite, but advantageous
* Will have commendable work ethic - the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
