Warehouse / 3PL Inventory Control Specialist

Job description / Role

My client a global logistics enterprise with offices here in Dubai wishes to recruit a new Warehouse / 3PL Inventory Control Specialist. The inventory control specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels; the candidate also ensures that optimal inventory is present and ready for use.

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 18,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

The candidate would come from an operational warehouse background and must have Systems and Processes experience in Freight Forwarding. They will develop and implement procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present. Also identify and optimize common inventory items. The ISC will work closely with other teams including sales, shipping and finance. They will maintain regular inventory counts and audit the facility’s entire inventory on a regular basis to provide reports to management.

You will monitor and maintain current inventory levels; track consignments and investigate problems. You will maintain the database, perform physical count of inventory, and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports. The client would like someone who can be “a detective for discrepancies” finding out the what, where, how, why and who. You need to be respected by the team but also be firm and to get answers from them. You will ensure processes are being followed and report back to the GM. You must be self-motivated, resilient and possess excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

In order to apply for this vacancy you must have a minimum 1 year’s freight forwarding / warehouse experience with a proven background in inventory management. They would prefer someone who has been in their current / previous role a minimum of 12 months. You will also be trained in using a WMS.
