Warehouse Assistant (Picker)

Job description / Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant (Picker) to join our dynamic team in the food and grocery industry in Dubai, UAE. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing food products for distribution, ensuring that all orders are picked and packed in a timely manner. Your efforts will directly impact our ability to meet customer demands and maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack food products according to order specifications, ensuring all items are correct and in good condition.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, order statuses, and shipment details.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily tasks and meet production goals.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock replenishment to ensure optimal inventory levels.
- Assist in loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring that products are handled with care and stored appropriately.
- Report any discrepancies or damages in inventory to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating warehouse equipment.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to warehouse operations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned by management.

- Proven experience in a warehouse or similar environment, preferably in the food and grocery industry.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety in handling food products.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

Salary:
AED 1,500 to 2,200 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
