Warehouse Helper

Job description / Role

Responsibilities & Duties
• Participates in manually loading orders on outgoing trucks by repetitive lifting of up to 100 lbs.
• Assist driver by categorizing products for dispatch
• Participants in the proper unloading of materials
• Count, verify and manually unload incoming orders and dispatch of various goods.
• Maintain inventory in appropriate/designated storage areas in warehouse.
• Counts, weighs, and records numbers of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
• Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together
• Complies to FIFO and LIFO
• Preps equipment and materials for long term storage
• Assists Storekeeper and WH Manager in inventory processes
• Has knowledge for systems used
• Able to use Inventory mode in system, able to overtake daily functions of WH Manager in regards with tracking orders, keeping buffer and par levels, rising quests and PRF forms
• Complies to all company SOPs, Policies and procedures
• Complies to all health and safety regulations, all municipality requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Academic & Trades Qualifications
• Basic health and safety
• Manual handling of heavy load
• Windows and excel training

Education Requirements
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working Experience & Skills
• 1+ years of related work experience;
• Valid drivers license is required;
• Attention to detail, able to take and follow direction, and to perform multiple tasks;
• Proficiency in Windows based applications preferred;
• Ability to interfaces with customers.
