Employment: Full Time

As an Intern with Pearl Initiative, you will support our business services department to record and track expenses and revenues, as well as prepare financial models to support our programme development. This internship is an excellent introduction to a business and non-profit environment. You will come away from the experience with a practical skill set that can be a great foundation for your career.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will have the opportunity to assist in various aspects of Pearl Initiative’s operations which may include a selection of the following:
• Make journal entries into our accounting system
• Preform monthly reconciliations
• Prepare and review financial statements and budgets
• Help manage the procurement process and manage vendors
• Assist in developing reports for the board and senior management
• Assist with general office tasks (filing, copying, organizing digital photos, etc.) as needed

Role Description

What You’ll Learn…
• This internship gives students a close-up look at the day to day operations of leading non-profit organisation
• Interns will have the opportunity to sit in on meetings with Senior Managers, learning how strategies are developed, vetted and put into action
• Interns will act in a supportive capacity to the leadership team, working under the close supervision of the line manager

Salary:
AED 3000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Additional benefits: Stipend of 3,000 AED per month offered

Requirements

• Current field of Study is accounting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good organisational skills, self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several tasks while meeting deadlines
• Proficient with MS Office
• Must be able to work business hours Sunday-Thursday with occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to prioritise, coordinate, multi-task, and demonstrate initiative
• Work well independently and as a team
