Job description / Role
A multinational engineering subcontracting company supporting the construction sector are currently seeking a Workshop Manager to join their business in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the productivity, efficiency and quality of the Repair Workshop.
• Plan, allocate and control the workshop’s work flow.
• Ensure timely, safely and cost efficient delivery of quality work.
• Provide direction and guidance to Section Supervisors.
• Provide technical guidance to equipment and machinery users.
• Plan and carry out the preventive maintenance of the workshop’s equipment and machinery.
• Comply with QHSE procedures and policies.
• Responsible for the workshop’s inventory of tools, accessories and repair material.
Requirements
• Engineering Degree
• Min 10 years’ experience in fabrication, construction or logistics industry.
• Solid team leadership experience
• Desirable knowledge of steel or aluminum welding or fabrication techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, confident and respectful with people.
• Good listening and communication skills.
• Well organized with good attention to detail.
• Desirable NEBOSH or similar HSE qualification.
• Proficient in use of MS Office Applications.
