Workshop Manager

Job description / Role

Manage and lead a team of people in allocating workload and managing the day to day operations in the workshop. Coordinate resources and liaise with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time and to a quality standard.

Responsibilities
- Manage workshop productivity.
- Ensure efficient management of the workshop and its safe and in effective operations. Ensure quality job is maintained.
- Building good customer relationships
- Maintaining high levels of customer service including dealing with customer complaints
- Ensure company documentation relating to service/repair reporting is completed correctly and on time
- Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are actively followed and maintained at a high level.
- Prepare workshop Budget and introduction of ways for reducing maintenance expenses.
- Ensure minimum bikes under repair at any given time.
- Implementation of discipline, safety and tidiness in the workshop.
- Elimination of repeat job.
- Controlling, assigning and scheduling of workshop staff.
- Coordination with operation and procurement departments day to day basis.
- Maintain sufficient spare parts, engine oil, painting stuff to ensure smooth operations.
- Reduce bike repair duration in the workshop.
- Introduction of ways for reducing maintenance expenses.
- Submission of various reports to management.
- Any other duties assigned by Management.

The position would be a 6 day week working Saturday - Thursday
Working hours 8am - 5.30pm

Salary:
AED 15,000 to 16,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent English Language
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the office.
