Employment: Full Time

A not for profit, independent organisation with several diverse members is currently adding to its team. Hosting a community of UN agencies and Intergovernmental Organisations they aim to provide a wide range of services including: emergency preparedness; response and evacuation; licensing and government services; secure and cost efficient warehouses and facilities; access to partnerships and fundraising and the development of an innovation lab. It is an organisation that has become the largest in the world and leads by example with compassion and assistance in humanitarian aid.

As part of several new recruits across different departments within the expanding team, our client is now seeking a Written Content Developer for both internal and external newsletters, websites and social media posts. Due to the nature of our NGO client it is essential that all information is handled with the upmost sensitivity and confidentiality at all times. Part of the role is to ensure that research presented is timely, accurate and from reliable sources with regards to the analysis of political, humanitarian and economic social environments on a global scale. You will also be adept at considering the regional cultural sensitivities and possess a strong commitment to humanitarian mission, visons and values. This role will allow the ideal candidate to bring their creativity to the written content and social media posts such on Facebook and Twitter, so adaptability and an open mind is essential. You will work closely with the senior team to present articles, updates and information for the website and social media posts and it is therefore expected that you will be detail orientated and have strong MS office skills. With regards to website and social media posts you will work closely with the marketing function to ensure they are timely and meet the demands of the overall annual strategy.

Requirements

Successful applicants must possess a degree in English with a relevant major such as Journalism or Technical Writing and a minimum of 2 years within a similar filed. You should be fluent in Arabic in reading, writing and speaking and also have an exceptional standard of the English language. Able to work efficiently and add value to the team, you will be organized and detail orientated to ensure tight deadlines are met alongside extremely high standards. Those candidates of experience within a political, humanitarian or economic social environment are a keen preference for this role.
