Our client is now recruiting for a Coordinator. You will be directly reporting to the Zone Security Manager - Security Operations
Required Background: Military, Police Security or Defence (candidates coming from this background will be considered for the role.)
Contract Duration: 8.4 months

Job Purpose

The Security Department at event is mandated to prepare, deliver and ensure that the appropriate security solutions are in place for all phases of the programme and into legacy through a guest focused, risk-based approach that sets out to provide best-in-class security.

The role of the Zone Security Coordinator is principally concerned with supporting the Zone Security Manager overseeing all aspects of Security across all phases of the event programme, from construction and event delivery.

The purpose of the role of the Zone Security Coordinator is to coordinate with the Zone Manager on the Security Plans (Concept of Operation) for both the readiness and event phases. The role includes supporting the event operational functions, processes and SOPs.

Core Accountabilities

Operational Responsibilities
• Support the Zone Security Manager in the development and implementation of plans for Zone to cover all aspects of the security arrangements as directed including
• Business as Usual (BAU) routine activity, scenario, contingency, Incident Management and emergency evacuation, and others
• Propose SOP’s ahead of future requirements.
• Manage timelines and deliverables, ensuring that all milestones are identified and met.
• Participate in and provide oversight of training requirements for staff involved in Zone security, ensuring personnel are trained and briefed as appropriate.

People Responsibilities
• Coordinates with Zone Security Manager the records security relevant data and information from different sources and prepares and shares daily run-schedules, reports, and forecasts as required.
• Provide visible coordination to the team and across the organization to key stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in Security or similar role
• Strong Presentation and Communication Skills
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Demonstrated time management skills
• Demonstrated experience in delivering on plans
• Demonstrated experience in Incident Management and Conflict Resolution
• Strong Attention to detail skills
• Demonstrated experience and expertise in Planning and Organisation

Desirable (advantageous)
• Thorough understanding of Security operations
• Event experience
• Supervision experience of contracted workforce
