The Diving Compliance Supervisor will act as the primary representative of the Contractor, ensuring all diving operations and subcontractor management comply with Project HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) standards, international regulations (e.g., IMCA, ADCI, LOLER), and project-specific requirements. This role is critical to maintaining safe and efficient diving operations, managing subcontractor performance, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Oversight:
• Monitor all diving operations to ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations (e.g., IMCA, OSHA, company policies).
• Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to diving operations.
Operational Management:
• Oversee and coordinate contractor diving work performed by divers on the project.
• Manage daily operations, including pre-dive safety briefings, risk assessments, equipment inspections, and post-dive debriefings.
• Ensure that all diving equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and certified for use.
Subcontractor Coordination:
• Supervise and manage subcontractors performing diving tasks, ensuring they meet project quality and safety standards.
• Establish clear communication channels and regular progress meetings with subcontractor teams to resolve issues and optimize workflow.
• Review subcontractor documentation, certifications, and work logs to verify compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Safety and Risk Management:
• Develop and implement emergency response and contingency plans for diving operations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and drills to ensure preparedness in emergency scenarios.
• Investigate any incidents or non-compliance issues and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of dive logs, safety reports, equipment inspections, and incident reports.
• Provide regular updates and compliance reports to senior management and relevant regulatory bodies.
Collaboration:
• Liaise with project managementlift, engineering teams, and client representatives to ensure that diving operations align with overall project objectives.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying operational challenges and proposing solutions
Requirements:
Experience & Certifications:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial diving operations, with demonstrable experience in industrial lifting and offshore projects.
• Certified Diving Supervisor (e.g., ADCI or equivalent) with current diving and safety certifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors in a high-risk environment.
• In-depth knowledge of diving safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements (IMCA, OSHA, etc.).
• Valid diving medical certificate and current certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration.
• Proven experience with risk management and emergency response procedures in a diving environment.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and subcontractors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
Organizational Abilities:
• Detail-oriented with robust documentation and reporting skills.
• Proficient in using digital tools for scheduling, monitoring operations, and compliance tracking.
Problem Solving:
• Ability to quickly assess and respond to emergencies or operational issues.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate risk factors and implement corrective measures.
