The primary responsibilities of this position include:
• Support the Oilfield Gathering Pipeline and WellPad Area Inspection Activities on site ensuring that the Construction activity is fully conversant with all Company and Project Specifications and procedures.
• Support the Oilfield Gathering Pipeline and WellPad Area overseeing Electrical, Instrumentation and Telecom discipline works performed regarding Quality Assurance and Control including conformity to Detailed Engineering design and specifications.
• Conduct visual, close, and detailed inspections in accordance with IEC 60079-17 standards.
• Ensure compliance with Ex certification requirements, installation standards, and plant safety procedures.
• Identify non-conformances and recommend corrective actions or equipment replacement.
• Maintain and update hazardous area equipment registers and inspection reports.
• Verify integrity of cable glands, enclosures, earthing, and seals.
• Provide guidance and training to technicians on Ex maintenance and installation standards.
• Support the Oilfield Gathering Pipeline and WellPad Area overseeing installation, testing, and calibration of newly deployed systems and equipment. To assist/take the lead for tests and check conformity during pre-commissioning works execution.
• Witness and participate in Vendor site activities as required.
• Ensure that execution of all installation/pre-commissioning /commissioning activities are done in strict compliance with the Detailed Design/specifications.
• Maintain good relationships with Partners, being flexible enough but also strict when necessary to achieve the objectives of the Project.
• Liaise with Other disciplines as it might be required to improve the effectiveness of the Team and to achieve project objectives and targets.
• Interface with QA/QC personnel to address quality issues/progress.
• Compliance with the HSE instructions, rules, and procedures in force for compliance with the HSE contractual clauses and other documents
• Ensure the protection of the environment and the monitoring of Project environmental performances.
• Participate in daily/weekly/monthly meetings as required.
• Compile necessary reports (daily/weekly/monthly) related to his/her discipline and scope for the Oilfield Gathering Pipeline and WellPad Area and Construction Manager as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical/Instrument/Telecoms engineering or Trained qualifications
• CompEx Certification (Ex01–Ex04) or equivalent IECEx CoPC (Certificate of Personnel Competence).
• Strong knowledge of:
- IEC 60079-14 (Installation)
- IEC 60079-17 (Inspection & Maintenance)
- ATEX / IECEx systems
• Excellent understanding of hazardous area classification and Ex protection concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and Ex equipment datasheets.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills (HA Inspection registers, Ex audit reports).
• High attention to detail and safety focus.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry specifically large construction projects, with thorough knowledge of various safety regulations, standards, procedures
• Minimum Working Experience of 3 Years as Ex Inspector
• Recognized level of expertise in construction discipline with a good knowledge of TOTAL E&P general specifications/Contractors in oil and gas construction projects.
• The ideal candidate shall be fully conversant with applicable Oil and Gas Industry International Codes, Standards as well as best Industry Practices.
• A good awareness of other disciplines. Significant responsibility in multi- discipline teams or projects.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills as well as a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office. English mandatory
Salary:
USD
5,500 to 6,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
