Guildhall is working on one of the most exciting projects in Africa. We are assisting a leading EPC JV which has a 5 year pipeline project that is critical to the future of Uganda.
We are looking for a Senior Dewatering Specialist to carry out the following tasks on Lake (surface) Water:
- Lead the design of dewatering systems for surface water, including the selection of pumps, pipelines, and other equipment
- Supervise the construction of dewatering systems, including the installation of pumps, pipelines, and other equipment
- Develop and implement a maintenance plan for dewatering systems to ensure their ongoing functionality
- Monitor and record dewatering system performance, including flow rates, pump operations, and other relevant data
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure that dewatering systems are integrated into the overall project design and meet all regulatory requirements
- Provide technical support and guidance to project team members as needed
- Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and other project-related documents

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in dewatering engineering, with a focus on surface water projects
- Strong technical knowledge of dewatering systems and the design of pumps, pipelines, and other related equipment
- Familiarity with relevant codes and regulations, including environmental regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
