Senior QAQC Engineer

Job description / Role

The successful candidate will report to the Quality Manager and will mainly work as the Senior QAQC Engineer and bridge the Project quality management with TOTAL requirements and international practices. The roles and responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to:

• Understand Contract requirements and TOTAL quality management practices. Familiarize the Project quality management team with recognized TOTAL quality requirements.
• Establish the suitable and efficient Project specific Quality Management System, including Project Quality Plan, Project Quality Control Plans and other quality procedures, etc.
• Prepare/ maintain Inspection Test Plan, and guide/ conduct the execution accordingly. Guide other Project Departments such as Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning to develop their respective quality management documents.
• Review the suppliers’ and subcontractors’ quality management documents, such as procedures/ ITP etc. And, monitor subcontractor’s quality system running status. Prepare and maintain the Project Quality Induction (PQI) documents and conduct the PQI to the Project new members.
• Coordinate all Project Departments to fill in and update the Project Procedures Manual.
• Participate in subcontracting and procurement cycles to ensure specified quality management requirements are met. ? Develop the general Quality Record Index and the Manufacturing Data Book Index. ? Organize the quality surveillance on other main Project Departments including as a minimum Engineering and Procurement.
• Plan and organize the internal and external QA audits.
• Maintain/ manage quality records and status, such as NCR/ QER/ SOR etc.
• Maintain the Project KPIs periodically.
• Maintain the Lessons Learned Registers and organize the LL activities.
• Prepare the weekly and monthly quality management reports.
• Assist quality manager to manage the internal affairs of department.

• Demonstrated knowledge and training in the ISO-9000 Series international standards, or equivalent. Able to exercise judgement against the criteria of the standards. Have a university degree or equivalent with a minimum of ten (10) years of direct experience in quality assurance system activities of which three (5) years must be in managing quality systems relating to oil & gas projects.
• Offshore project working experience.
• Work experience in African countries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.2

• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good health and capable of working in a remote project area.
