Employment: Full Time

The Aviation maintenance teacher is responsible for providing effective teaching in aviation Maintenance Engineering Technology that is a specialized skills subject as part of the applied stream in the emirates school. By using various learning methodologies that support acquiring knowledge and skill, curriculums is taught to second language Learners within a sudden centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions.

Job Specifications

* Responsible for planning, managing and improving the learning of their own students, working with other team members
* In collaboration with Teachers to implement and continually improve curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies
* Supervising students during the practical tasks and activates and ensure health and safety riles are applied.
* To manage the learning of the students, maintaining records including students' portfolios, collaborating with other teachers and promoting staff development in a pro-active manner.
* Responsible for planning and participating in a professional development opportunities to further their own knowledge, skills and abilities.
* To manage all facilities and activities related to achieve student learning.
* To play a leadership role-modelling behaviour, attitudes and learning behaviours for students.
* Responsible for achieving the set learning outcomes in students, and therefore supervise all student activities and process to ensure outcomes.
* Adapt and work to the local working environment and local anomalies and ensure full integration with emirates counterparts.

Requirements

Experience required:

* Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience preferably in high school / Diploma level or 5 years of relevant industrial experience, preferably with training / teaching experience.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Aircraft maintenance or Electrical & Electronic / Avionics is essential, a Masters is desirable.
* EASA part 66 certified or equivalent is highly desirable
* Appropriate professional qualifications - PGCE, B.Ed, etc.
* IELTS Academic score of 6.5 is necessary for all non-native English Speakers
* Strong IT Skills especially in MS Office programs. All employees must be IC3 Certified.

* A salary package of 16,000 - 24,000 AED (This is a combination of basic salary and accommodation allowance)
