Director of Data Governance

Job description / Role

* Directly responsible for the successful delivery of a number of business critical projects
* Deputise for the CDO when needed
* Setting strategic direction for the function
* Establishing and improving data management and quality control
* Building high level and effective working relationships with stakeholders both internally and from across the business
* Responsible for the continuous improvement of the Data Quality Forum for my client

Requirements

* Deep level knowledge and understanding of regulations (ideally BCBS 239)
* A financial services or consulting background
* Senior stakeholder management skills and an ability to effectively engage, manage and influence when needed.
* Come from a data governance background with experience in tracking and traceability
* Experience delivering large scale projects in a matrix management environment
* Previous line management responsibility, including several across various locations
* Strong influencing and negotiating skills
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Work in an ambiguous and time pressured environment
