Head of Compliance

Job description / Role

Gulf Connexions has an exciting opportunity with one the UK’s leading Financial Services organizations. This is a chance to work within their Compliance Department alongside a small team of professionals where you will have national oversight. Your role will be to ensure that the compliance advisory function provides top class, regulatory advice to the wider business.

• Deliver an effective Compliance plan that limits business risk and maximizes commercial benefit.
• Lead and manage the compliance and quality assurance areas.
• Ensure that compliance advice is available for the business to support a portfolio of business change initiates.
• Provide actuate and timely advice, guidance and support to business projects.
• Monitor compliance with relevant law and regulations.
• Design and implement regulatory procedures to meet the Group’s strategic objectives.
• Develop and document a Compliance infrastructure which is sufficiently robust to support current and future activities, reflecting a strong compliance framework

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years significant risk or compliance related work experience inside a regulated institution.
• Minimum of 5 years previous management/leadership experience.
• Ability to understand key business and strategic objectives of the company and integrate business, legal and regulatory concept to develop effective internal controls.
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance or similar.
