Senior Mechanical Engineer/ Foreman

Job description / Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer/ Senior Mechanical Foreman to join our client on a 12 -18 month renewable contract in Riyadh-KSA.

Accountabilities
- Participate in the preparation and the regular updates of the Construction Schedule
- Act as point of contact for all technical inquiries presented by the Contractor or the Client.
- Address the technical inquiries and necessary technical clarifications, within his scope limits
- Oversee, and supervise the implementation of the TVS equipment in accordance with HSE,
- Advise implementation drawings, QA/QC procedures, method statements, assembly instructions
- Verify, validate and confirm through the proper forms and inspection procedure
- Ensure good condition of equipment delivered and installed onsite with Contractor QA/QC officers
- Inform the Contractor of quality defects regarding construction site adjustment or small changes.
- Participate with Contractors in defining corrective actions for technical difficulties/deadline issues.
- Check and validate the preliminary self-monitoring done by installer.
- Participate with the Contractor in the commissioning of the installations
- Suggest solutions for the improvement of safety, erection quality and on-site environment quality.
- Report all activities regularly to the Contractor and advise for improvements.
- Collect information needed to draw up the “as-built” documents
- Ensure that prerequisites for commissioning are fulfilled.
- Ensure the final electrical installations are available and tested.
- Conduct Mappings and check lists have been prepared and coordinated with the contractor

Requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or engineering.

Additional information
- Minimum of five years in the construction industry, with developed leadership experience.
- Ability to lead others in the completion of a schedule, budget guidelines, and customer requirements.
- Experience in ventilation desirable
- To control and advise on the productivity and efficiency of installation resources provided by the contractor.
- To be present on site six days a week, except public holidays, recovery, maximum ten hours per day.
