Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
• Establish effective metrics to manage procurement, inventory management, pricing strategy, margin and file maintenance goals
• Establish and maintain sustainable pricing strategy and implement best-practices from across the market
• Actively manage and optimize the product file and product costing across the enterprise
• Develop strong working relationships with vendor community
• Manage inventory key performance indicators to create continuous improvement and achieve inventory objectives
• Constant communication with field sales/sales leaders to ensure market level pricing/inventory levels to ensure support/growth in business (this includes joint calls in field and participating in sales meetings with team etc.
• Drive communication strategy and system enforcement with sales to emphasize focus on selling what we inventory
• Other duties and/or projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)
• Long and varied hours required occasionally

Requirements

Qualifications: Education and/or Experience:
• Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree (B.A or B.S.) from a 4-year college or University; or
• 5 - 7 years' of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must demonstrate good time management skills

• Must have the ability to establish strong working relationships with co-workers and other leaders

Office/Warehouse environment Travel:
• If yes, the % of travel time required: 30%

Physical Demands:
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear
• The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance
• The employee will frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus
