Sports & Fitness Ministry Associate

Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
Daily/Ongoing Tasks
Function in a team environment
• Respond to email & voicemail messages
• Facility operations as needed
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Ministry Leader
• Build relationships & identify opportunities to connect & minister to others
• League Tasks
Basketball, Racquetball, Volleyball and Softball
• Responsible for all team challenge materials for the program
• Recruit, train, lead and disciple volunteers for program
• Responsible for administration of league including marketing and registration process, compiling of teams, setting league schedules, maintaining standings, and evaluation of leagues
• Responsible for monitoring budget for leagues
• Serve as primary on-site staff person for leagues
• Responsible for oversight of game day set-up/tear down
• Responsible for ordering equipment & all necessary materials for leagues
• Responsible for recruiting/scheduling/reminding of concession stand volunteers

Required Education, Experience, and Membership:
• Bachelors Degree in ministry
• 2+ years of sports/recreation experience
• Ministry experience preferred but not required
• Proven experience in leading staff, program design and implementation with excellence
• Student of the Word and intimate walk with the Father
• Spirit-led; passion for obedience
• Proven Disciple-Maker
• Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church who supports the Statement of Faith and submits to the leadership established by the church
