We are seeking an experienced Instrument Engineer to join our EPC team for a major gas field project in Uzbekistan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design review, installation supervision, and commissioning support of all instrumentation systems on site.
Key responsibilities include:
– Participate in the design, review, and approval of instrumentation systems, control philosophy, and instrument datasheets.
– Review and verify P&IDs, instrument loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control system architecture.
– Provide technical input to procurement specifications for instruments, valves, transmitters, analyzers, and control systems.
– Supervise and inspect on-site installation of instrumentation equipment and cabling, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards.
– Support pre-commissioning, calibration, loop checking, and functional testing of instrument systems.
– Troubleshoot instrumentation and control issues during construction and commissioning phases.
– Coordinate with control system, process, piping, and electrical teams to ensure integrated system performance.
– Ensure full compliance with HSE requirements, and implement project QA/QC procedures during all instrumentation activities.
– Support as-built documentation preparation and handover to client.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree or above (major not limited; instrumentation, automation, or electrical-related majors are preferred).
– Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in instrumentation engineering within oil & gas or petrochemical EPC projects.
– Hands-on experience in field installation supervision, commissioning, loop checking, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems.
– Familiar with international standards such as IEC, ISA, API, etc., and capable of interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
– Strong coordination and communication skills for cross-disciplinary cooperation (e.g., with control system, electrical, and process teams).
– Proficiency in Russian or Uzbek is a plus for facilitating local communication and documentation.
– Ability to adapt to multicultural project environments.
