Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

JOB TYPE: Contract (Full time)

WORK PERIOD: 22 months

SALARY: $9,000 - $10,500 per month.

COMPANY AND LOCATION:

The client is a large construction company specialised in construction of industrial and technological facilities in the oil and gas industry. They are one of the recognised leaders in the market of oil and gas development in Central Asia and Russia. The job holder will be based at the project office/ site in Uzbekistan.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Testing, evaluating, modifying and calibrating products and instruments
• Writing reports and documentation
• Providing technical support.
• Designing and developing new control systems;
• Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports;
• Managing operations;
• Working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff;
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities
• Project management within cost and time constrained environments;
• Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards;
• Providing advice and consultancy support;
• Ensure that all workings are manufactured in a correct, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements
• Chalking out or improve instrumentation systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being
• Contribute towards the achievement of company’s strategic and operational objectives
• Perform instrumentation quality controls and monitor
• Recruit, train, supervise and appraise resources
• Cater to managements’ or project’s concerns
• Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
• Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
• Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption
• Prepare and submit status and performance reports

Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• More than 15 years for gas/refinery/petrochemical plants in EPC Company as Instrument Manager
• Proven work experience as instrumentation manager
• Excellent knowledge of instrument planning and control principles
• Adequate knowledge of effectiveness and operations management

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Familiarity with business and financial principles and practices
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
• Outstanding leadership and organizational skills

QUALIFICATION:
• BS degree in instrumentation management or related field

EXPERIENCE:
• More than 15 years for gas/refinery/petrochemical plants in EPC Company (Instrument Manager experience is required)

SKILLS:
• Good IT skills (databases, MS Office etc)
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving ability
• Leadership and organisational skills
