Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

JOB TYPE: Contract (Full time)

WORK PERIOD: 40 months

SALARY: $10,200 - $11,500 per month.

COMPANY AND LOCATION:
The client is a large construction company specialised in construction of industrial and technological facilities in the oil and gas industry. They are one of the recognised leaders in the market of oil and gas development in Central Asia and Russia. The job holder will be based at the project office/ site in Uzbekistan.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, create and maintain the construction project in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
- Oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs
- Review potential risks, materials and costs
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory
- Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
- Meet contractual conditions of performance
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
- Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies

Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 20 year experience as a site construction manager
- Background in EPC Company
- Strong knowledge of construction process, codes, norms and standards
- Leadership and HR Management Skills

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and motivational skills
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Working knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD,Civil 3D etc

QUALIFICATION:
Degree in engineering (Civil/ Mechanical)

EXPERIENCE:
More than 20 years for gas/refinery/petrochemical plants in EPC Company (Site Construction Manager experience is required)

SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of construction process, mechanical process, mechanical equipment, boiler as well as electrical equipment and instrumentation
- Familiar with applicable codes, norms and standards
- Project management and supervision skills
- Excellent people and team management skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
