Employment: Full Time

JOB TYPE: Contract (Full time)

WORK PERIOD: 40 months

SALARY: $9,500 - $11,000 per month.

COMPANY AND LOCATION:
The client is a large construction company specialised in construction of industrial and technological facilities in the oil and gas industry. They are one of the recognised leaders in the market of oil and gas development in Central Asia and Russia. The job holder will be based at the project office/ site in Uzbekistan.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review subcontracts and prepare log all obligations
- Ensure that all obligations are completed in a timely manner to ensure the successful delivery of the subcontract services.
- Undertake regular review meetings with the subcontractors
- Maintain good relations with the relevant subcontractors recognising their importance to the delivery of the projects.
- Ensure that each subcontract has an exit plan in place, maintaining records of any hardware or software licenses that may need to be transferred on exit.
- Work with the project team to conduct and settle any legal claims and disputes pertaining to subcontracts.
- Monitor designated projects for subcontract commercial risk, and work with the project teams to initiate corrective action, where necessary.
- Undertake renewals of support agreements and work with Global procurement to ensure that such renewals are undertaken at the lowest cost.
- Ensure that project delivery teams are raising appropriate subcontract change notices and that leveraging change (additional charges, revisions to contractual obligation, etc.) becomes the norm and that any changes are reflected in the deliverables log.
- Periodically ensure that the subcontract is conformed to reflect the current commercial agreement.
- At least annually and upon closure of the project review the performance of the subcontractors with the subcontractors and the project and prepare lessons learnt reports.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- More than 15 years for gas/refinery/petrochemical plants in EPC Company as Subcontracting Manager
- Strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of commercial contract
- Demonstrable Service Level Management experience.
- An understanding of commercial, contract and financial aspects of service or supply contracts.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrable understanding of service delivery and the relationship between this and contract structure.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, including strong influencing and senior stakeholder management skills.
- Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers.

QUALIFICATION:
High school diploma; Further education or certification is preferred

EXPERIENCE:
More than 15 years for gas/refinery/petrochemical plants in EPC Company (Subcontracting Manager experience is required)

- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
- Excellent people and team management skills
- Excellent written and communication skills including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, Sharepoint etc.
- A focus on the continuous improvement of the dedicated service to be provided.
