Wayside Work Manager - Rail Project

Job description / Role

My client is a leading international contractor who are currently working on the construction of the Ho Chi Minh Urban Rail project in Vietnam. They are currently looking to recruit an experienced wayside works manager to carry out the following duties:

• To act as the central coordinator for all work permits and allocation to the sub-contractors.
• Main duty however is the creation and operation of the Construction Railways Operating Rulebook as well as controlling actual construction vehicle rail movements.
• Understanding manual route setting, shunting operations and power isolation routines. (switching protocols established by others)

Requirements

• Candidates should have a degree or similar level qualification and must have a proven background in working on large rail and metro construction projects.
• Candidates should be familiar with wayside construction operations and should have experience in creating and operation of the construction railways operating handbook and controlling of construction vehicle rail movements.
• Candidates should also have experience of manual route settings, shunting operations and power isolation routines.
