Job Responsibilities

Strategic Contribution
• Assist with the implementation of the annual business plan and targets and execute the strategic agenda of the Planning function to deliver RSG vision and mission.
• Ensure that the operational business plans for the Planning function are executed and monitor the performance and execution of those plans in order to achieve functional objectives and deliver the company’s strategy.
Leadership
• Coordinate the activities of the Projects Planning team to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic project management plans, policies and procedures.
• Manage the team by setting priorities and objectives, managing performance, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching to meet the functional challenges and goals.
• Serve as a role model to ensure employees’ awareness and commitment to RSG vision, mission, values, fundamentals and corporate strategy to establish a highly engaged and motivated human resources, and continuously improve performance.
Budget
• Contribute to the preparation of the functional budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.

Operational Management
• Manage the Planning function’s daily operations by providing expertise, enabling teamwork, and aligning processes.
• Coordinate work within the Planning team to enhance work output, in order to achieve high-performance standards and meet established targets.

Schedule Management
• Develop Baseline Schedules for Programs or a group of Projects in the development phases which serves as a road map for the Project teams to lead throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor detailed design/ construction schedules and obtain relevant details from related stakeholders to clarify the logical relationships between activities and tasks necessary to execute the work and enable accurate forecasting of Project completion dates.
• Report Program and Project progress continuously through work site visits, as applicable, and integrate reporting from Planning Managers and Planning Engineers to ensure that implementation is progressing as per plan and aligned with the Baseline Schedule.
• Assemble and verify schedule and earned value data submitted to RSG to assess trends and accurately forecast completion dates for Programs or a group of Projects.
• Monitor the progress of Programs of a group of Projects with the assistance of the Planning team against schedule key performance indicators established to Level V of Work Breakdown Structure Level.
• Manage relationships with contractors, consultants and other contracted parties, define upcoming works, schedules, and respond to appropriate planning requests to ensure that the completion milestone dates are achieved.
• Provide technical assistance to Projects Planning team when needed.
• Identify progress trends, review areas of unsatisfactory results and implement mitigation plans to improve results.

Reporting
• Report periodically the progress and performance of contractors and consultants schedule concerns, risks and mitigations for the upcoming period to the Planning Director or Associate Director.

Risk Management
• Identify and monitor schedule risks on a project from contractors or consultants, and support preventative and corrective risk measures.

Standards
• Contribute to the establishment of Planning customized standards for each new projects depending on the type of project, budget and size of the investment to ensure best practices and standards are implemented.

Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
• Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions to ensure that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely functional reports/ dashboards that comply with corporate and functional requirements, policies and standards.

Safety, Quality & Environment
• Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement
• Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of the Planning function systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Salary:
SAR 10,000 to 11,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Qualification and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or any related field
• PMP or similar certification
• Minimum of 10 of experience with 3 years in a similar position
