Dubai Municipality is regarded as one of the largest establishments in Dubai in terms of the number of people it employs, the volume of services it provides to the public and the projects it caries out. The Municipality was established in the 1940s with total staff strength of three persons who were operating from a single room. The Municipality kept up its steady growth since its inception and has now become a large organization with more than 11,000 staff working in 31 organizational units.
