JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer to join our team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, within the Oil and Gas industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing budget estimates, and ensuring cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze project costs and provide accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects.
- Monitor and control project costs to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Prepare and present cost reports and financial projections to the management team.
- Conduct cost analysis and risk assessments to identify potential financial impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
- Participate in project meetings to provide cost-related insights and support decision-making processes.
- Evaluate contractor and vendor proposals to ensure competitiveness and value for money.
- Assist in the development of cost control processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in cost engineering to continuously improve cost management processes.

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, CCE, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Cost Engineer or in a similar role within the Oil and Gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of cost estimation, budgeting, and cost control principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in cost management software and tools, such as CostOS, Cleopatra Enterprise, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of project management processes and familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
