JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Russian Speaker Captain/Team Leader to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising the front-of-house team to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth restaurant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the front-of-house team, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service.
- Train and mentor team members to uphold service standards and enhance their skills in customer interaction and problem-solving.
- Manage table reservations, seating arrangements, and customer inquiries to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to the guests.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, striving to resolve issues and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the maintenance of a clean and organized dining area, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall dining experience.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock control and ordering supplies as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Captain, Team Leader, or similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Fluency in Russian and English is essential, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of guests and team members.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver outstanding service.
- Excellent knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine and cocktail service, menu items, and food pairing.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and basic accounting procedures for handling transactions and cash reconciliation.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene practices is desirable.
