Job description / Role
The Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing and administering all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Management Program. This position plans, organizes, and controls the Bank's day-to-day administrative, lending and operational compliance activities and collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer in the overall administration of these directives for the Bank.
The Chief Compliance Officer shall report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Bank.
Requirements
- Develop, implement and administer all aspects of the Bank's Compliance Management Program, including regulatory, internal and external compliance related issues and evaluate the state of compliance across the Bank.
- Lead the Bank’s compliance activities, design and implement internal controls, policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable local, government and regulatory laws and regulations and third party guidelines.
- Organize and control the Bank's day-to-day administrative, lending and operational compliance related activities.
- Ensure preparation and timely submission of periodical compliance reports of the Bank to the Central Bank (Da Afghanistan Bank) and other regulatory authorities.
- Manage audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues of the Bank.
- Respond to requests for information from regulatory bodies.
- Communicate guidelines and provide training to staffs to ensure compliance of critical internal policies and procedures and external compliance requirements.
- Orientation and training of other officer compliance related matters.
