Job description / Role

• Review all treatment procedures prior to arrival.
• Examination of staff members who are ill.
• Examination of campers who arrive feeling ill.
• Documentation of all visits, treatments, procedures, etc. in the computer

Examination of campers and staff on a daily basis for the following conditions:
• Lacerations that need sutures for adequate closure and checking for tetanus need. (Facial lacerations are generally referred to a Plastic surgeon in Hot Springs.)
• Exam of sprains and suspected fractures- referral if indicated to Hot Springs for follow up with Orthopedic Physician
• Fever > 101.
• Infected bites
• Common diseases that interfere with daily activities (ears, nose, & throats)
• Asthma attack
• Allergic reactions
• Head injuries (referred to Hot Springs ER)
• Seizures
• Emergencies

Take Universal Precautions:
• Wears disposable gloves/or sterile gloves as indicated
• Throws contaminated dressing in red biohazard trash bags.
• Use of Sharp’s containers
• Sterilize/sanitize with antibacterial solution.
• Proper handling of blood borne pathogens
• Use of CPR barrier if needed

Requirements

BA degree in Medicine with over 5 years experience on same field(desirable LOGCAP experience),with very good English and experience on medical check ups and take care of health of our employees on field, take care for laboratory analyses with reading laboratory reports, immunization procedures and tracking of medicals ,planning of health programs on field, admin knowledge.
