Job description / Role

A reputable and well-established Pharmaceutical company is actively recruiting an Accountant for their team in Algeria.

The main responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Develop and implement robust financial control procedures, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices for Northwest Africa.
- Act as a key user and contributor for operations locally.
- Compiles and presents financial and budget reports.
- Filing and remitting taxes and other financial obligations.
- Auditing documents to substantiate financial transactions.
- Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Keeping account books and systems up to date.

Requirements

To be successful you will need to meet the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Minimum 7 - 9 years of Accounting, Finance, and Business Controlling experience in Algeria, preferably within the Pharmaceutical/FMCG Industry . Audit experience (assurance, tax, corporate finance) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, financial reporting standards (IFRS), and tax regulations.
- Proficient in financial software, SAP, and project management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and French.
- Proven track record of driving financial performance and delivering results.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
