Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsibilities:
• Influence business decisions by gathering, analyzing and synthesizing information and existing research
• Conduct research projects through definition of internal research requirements, supplier and methodology selection, discussion guide/survey development and supplier deliverables
• Client Engagement: Ensure internal clients receive a high level of service through collaboration with CMI teams, brand management clients and product development clients to clearly define the research strategy and scope of work for product research. Prepare and deliver learning/insight, clearly explaining scientific research
• Provide actionable insights from consumer product research to impact business plans. Ensure that the primary research questions are answered by the research
• Collaboration: help drive teamwork from the members of the CMI team by providing peer review, ideas and feedback to strengthen insight generation
• Manage multiple priorities and projects in a rapidly changing environment. Work with cross functional teams to establish consumer research objectives and deliverables
• Coordinate and document research logistics, which may include materials, products/samples for assigned projects in addition to the data collection process. Maintain and track product research budget for projects

Requirements

• 3+ year’s professional experience in consumer product research (preferably in a consumer goods company).
• B.A. in Social Sciences, Food Science, Marketing Research or relevant scientific field. Advanced degree is highly desirable.
• Strong research methods knowledge for experimental design
• Scientific approach to consumer research with the capability to generate insights at a pragmatic level required by business.
• Strong understanding of consumer research, including survey design, methodology strengths and limitations, and how to best address business questions.
• Strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
• Capacity to work with both departmental and cross-functional teams efficiently.
• Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
• A deep knowledge of one of the following technical areas: statistics, sensory testing methods, experimental psychology, quantitative consumer research methods.
• Creativity in approach and mindset.
