Cyber Security Specialist - Brisbane.

Gulf Connexions has partnered with one of the largest construction companies in the APAC region whose main focus and specialty is roads, rail and resource infrastructure. An immediate opportunity has become available for a talented and experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join their expanding security team to be based out of their Brisbane office. Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, as a Cyber Security Specialist, you will be an integral part of the security team responsible for the day-to-day security technologies and the end to end cyber security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement advanced network threat protection tools.
• Develop unique, effective security strategies for software systems, networks, data centers and hardware.
• Identify, analyse and interpret threats and malicious activity.
• Perform regular internal and external security audits.
• Perform periodic network and device scans to identify and remove vulnerabilities.
• Building firewalls into network infrastructures.
• Perform in-depth analysis of results and put together technical reports summarizing the findings.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science or similar disciplines.
• 5 years + prior work experience focused on Cyber Security preferably within an international corporate environment.
• Proven experience in threat intelligence gathering, creation and fusion activities.
• Demonstrated analytical and research skills, as well as a strong background in statistics and mathematics.
• Industry certificates such as CISSP, CISSLP, CISA, ISSAP, ISSEP.
• Experience in Six Sigma, Lean or other process-orientated techniques is preferential.
• Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills, teamwork and client service skills.
• Results oriented individual with the ability to influence and who is a strong team player.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and give a high level of attention to detail.
