Employment: Full Time

EPC Mechanical Engineer - Darwin

- Coordination of site activities
- Provides a focal point for all technical based queries for associated Equipment Suppliers, construction and client
- Provides engineering advice for Equipment suppliers/ contractor and LTSCs (Lower Tier Subcontractor)
- Liaison with design, construction and procurement team
- Liaise with Client on all technical aspects of the project
- Working across multi-disciplined teams to provide support to general site works
- Comply with INPEX Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) management systems, including statutory obligations
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in processes or systems
- Identify, initiate, recommend and assist in the issue resolution process
- Verify and confirm the effective implementation of said solutions
- Promote a positive HS&E culture in the workplace
- Responsible for direct interface with construction and commissioning personnel coordinating construction completion in areas and systems under assignment
- Review and plan the project with the Engineering Manager to ensure technical aspects of job are clear and to become familiar with contractual arrangements made with client
- Ensures that surveys of installations throughout the project are conducted in a professional manner with all results being reviewed and accepted by the client. All actions resulting from these surveys are coordinated by the Engineer until completion and filed correctly for MDR’s
- Provides written reports on engineering activities as required by the Engineering Manager

Requirements

- Degree in Engineering within Mechanical discipline
- 5-10 years’ experience in Power Industry(Combined Cycle, Combustion Turbine)
- Demonstrated successful performance as EPC Mechanical Engineer of multiple EPC Power Projects
- Experience in Power Station construction environment desirable and experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Significant engineering experience throughout, design, construction and commissioning in the Oil and Gas industry on Brownfields and Greenfields projects
- Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast paced environment with multiple and competing demands
- Proficient skills in computers: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD
- Technical experience includes; Rotating equipment, Static equipment, GE equipment, P&ID, Materials selection, Hydraulic systems, Fire Protection, Heat Recovery Steam Generator, Boiler Management System, Duct Burners/Combustion Control, Valves, Drain, Vent, Pumps, Compressors, Fans, Blowers, Hydro-testing, Pipe Supports, Insulation, Etc..
- AS 9001 Quality Systems knowledge
- ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, ASME B36.10M, ASME 36.19, AS2885 and AS4041 knowledge
