Employment: Full Time

Heavy Equipment Mechanic US$150K

Our client is a Tier 1 Building Civil & Mining Contractor in Australia.
They are currently looking to hire experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to be based in Western Australia.

APPLICANTS MUST HOLD IRISH / UK / EUROPEAN PASSPORT

The positions are on Fly-in Fly-out basis (FIFO) 14/7 rota – this may vary between sites.

These positions are available on single and/or married status.

Shortest working visa available is for 6 months or standard working visa from 2 years to permanent residency.

• Reporting to the Service Supervisor you will diagnose, service and repair a wide range of equipment. You will complete planned and unplanned maintenance of equipment as directed by the Leading Hand / Supervisor to the required standards.
• You will comply with all site and statutory OH&S regulations and maintain a strong focus on safety for yourself and others including the use of site safety systems.

Responsibilities:
• Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
• Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
• Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
• Repairing damaged equipment parts.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
• Cleaning and servicing of machine attachments like winches, blades, and side booms.
• Performing major repair work when necessary.
• Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Troubleshoot issues on the job site.
• Repair and service even the biggest machinery with expert care.

Requirements


Requirements:
• Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Proven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience with machinery such as Excavators, Dozers, Graders, Front End Loaders, Dump Trucks and comparable engines and heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Forklift and dogging license with necessary experience is advantageous.
• Understanding of computer testing technologies.
• Ability to lift heavy machinery.
• Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
• Good communication skills.
• Be physically fit.

• Annual Superannuation paid by employer AU$18500
• Employment Retention bonus 5%
• Total compensation AU$200K

• Dedicated in-house HR & Relocation team to provide assistance with moving, sourcing accommodation in WA etc
