Operations Manager (Piling) - Australia

Linum Consult’s client is an international main contractor; a world leader in construction technologies, operating on a diverse range of projects around the world. Due to continued expansion within their Geotechnical Division, they are looking to hire an Operations Manager for their numerous worksites in Australia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leading and managing a team of Project Managers and site personnel to deliver piling and geotechnical projects across East Coast Australia
• Ensuring that all operational requirements are communicated clearly within the business from initial enquiry to final account settlement
• Assisting the Bid Manager and Estimators with the provision of competitive and realistic quotations
• Arranging site visits, client liaison, and managing documentation in line with the contract requirements
• Producing, maintaining and communicating Risk Assessments and Method Statements, etc.
• Working closely with site personnel to plan, organise, install and handover completed projects
• Ensuring all labour, plant & supply chain are acquired and suitable for the project and budget requirements
• Developing relationships with suppliers, clients and the on-site workforce, and overseeing all operational aspects of the piling and foundations projects
• Maintaining a high level of quality and safety on site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• At least 10 years’ experience in a Project Manager/Works Manager role within the geotechnical engineering/piling industry
• Proven history of delivering major piling & foundations contracts on time, safely and to budget
• Strong collaborative and communication skills
• Looking to develop from an on-site Engineer to a more senior managerial position
• Fluency in English, with the right to live and work in Australia or New Zealand
