Charterhouse is working with one of our clients within the Oil and Gas services sector. Our client is a listed entity and is looking to hire a General Manager to lead its team based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The General Manager will promote and market the company while overseeing the smooth running of the business. This role requires a customer-focused candidate with strong relationship building skills who will conduct regular customer visits to ensure the business and revenue growth is positive year on year. You will plan and direct the work activities of staff, guide and mentor colleagues across departments, resolving work-related issues. The General Manager will set goals and deadlines for the department, liaise with and assist all company team units and action any requests. You will closely monitor processes and implement change to improve efficiency. You will also complete annual financial plans and support the finance department when required.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be educated to Degree or High School Diploma level preferably fluent in English, Azerbaijani and Russian. Experience in the marine, inspection and / or Oil & Gas industry would be advantageous but not mandatory. You should have excellent interpersonal and team management skills with strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making abilities. You should also be highly proficient with MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, with strong written and verbal skills. This role requires a high level of accuracy in preparing information and attention to detail. You should have experience in finance particularly accounts payable and accounts receivable and ISO9001 requirements as well as knowledge of local legislation (tax, labour, civil etc.).
