Airfield Inspector / Supervisor

Job description / Role

Civil Contracting & Maintenance business in Bahrain has been appointed a long term contract on Bahrain International Airport. Our client is looking for someone with who has a blend of both client and contracting experience related to civil maintenance on International Airports within the Gulf Region . This airport currently has around 220 Tonnes of Cargo and 9 Million International Passengers passing through each year so that maintenance needed for a 1 Runway & Parallel taxi lane is significant .

Types of works consists of: Asphalt / Concrete Repairs , Line Markings , Earth Works & Grading , Security Works & so on . The complexity is not in the construction value but in the client management , liaison , eye for detail and awareness of the aviation environment.

You will be joining one of the most prestigious and well performing contractors in the GCC . They have a superb reputation for staff retention, treatment of supply chain and generally building in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Our client is looking for someone to relocate to Bahrain long term and commit to building a career in this fast paced environment .

Responsibilities:

• Management of works across multiple projects
• Represent the business with minimal management
• Capable of planning and coordinating works
• Ensure that everything carried out is in adherence to drawings and spec
• Manage a push for an all round safe working environment
• Manage design , budget and schedule on the ongoing works

Salary:
BHD 1,000 to 18,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years related experience
• Formally trained and conversant with ICAO Annex – 14 and other relevant ICAO Standards and recommended Practices
• Requires airport related construction supervision/inspection experience for airfield projects(preferably maintenance contracts).
