Automation Manager

Job description / Role

Gulf Connexions has partnered with an international manufacturing firm who is seeking to expand their Bahrain office by hiring an Automation Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and manage all industrial machinery such as 3D printers, Thermal Scanners, and Robots.
- Ensure smooth and reliable connectivity (insertion and removal) to the digital platform.
- Define the optimum automation engineering team structure and recruit, develop, motivate and manage a global team of technical experts that meets the current and future business needs;
- Establish consistency in the application of engineering standards and an awareness/compliance with machinery health and safety legislation;
- Support, initiate, deploy and sign off process improvement and efficiency improvement modifications to manufacturing systems at any panel site. Maintain the business direction of reducing capital engineering costs while increasing;

Requirements

Key Requirements:

- Significant electrical and software engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of the following areas:
- ANN - Artificial neural network
- DCS - Distributed Control System
- HMI - Human Machine Interface
- SCADA - Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition
- PLC - Programmable Logic Controller
- Instrumentation
- Motion control
- Robotics
- Electrical Engineer Degree/HND qualified or equivalent with at least 5-10 years' experience in a manufacturing environment;
- Working knowledge of PLC's with certified training or demonstrated experience with extensive programming and diagnosis experience in a manufacturing environment;
