CNC Operator

Job description / Role

- Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings.
- Proven experience as CNC operator.
- Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
- Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM.
- Mechanical ability and good math skills.
- Good communication abilities.
- Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production.

Requirements

University Qualifications: Secondary Certificates and associate's degrees are the most common required credentials
Nature and length of previous experience: 5 to 10 years as Machine Operator

Specialist knowledge:
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
