Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Summary:
- Perform inspection of electrical sub-stations, pump house, dock side arms, grit treatment plant, waste water treatment plant, sewage plants, domestic pump station, sludge plant, mobile equipment, dock equipment, lifting equipment, building equipment, fixed machinery and other support equipment.
- To ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times.
- To ensure an acceptable standard of Quality, Environmental, OHSAS and Security Management System is maintained in accordance with recognized working practices and the Company’s QEHS&S Manual and Policy.
- Apply and execute the requirements of ISO-28000 (E) and ISO-20858 (E), ISO 27001, ISPS related to job and Security management System for the Supply Chain & information security management system are maintained

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises the day to day activities of a group of Electricians/Electronic Fitters.
- Performs inspection of pump house, desalination plant, dock side arms, traveling cranes, overhead cranes, grit treatment plant, waste water treatment plant, sewage plant, sludge plant, fixed machinery, air and fluid network and domestic pump and all other yard equipment that comes under the purview of Electrical Maintenance for safe and continuous operation.
- Overhauling, as necessary, of all equipment/machinery coming under the purview of Electrical Maintenance.
- Gives technical advice/assistance to his workers as and when required.
- Requests materials and spare parts as and when required from warehouse as well as from outside suppliers.
- Responsible for the safe working conditions for workers under his direct control.
- Reports to Section Head daily and all anomalies for decision on technical matters.
- Ensures that Quality, Safety and Environmental System is implemented and maintaine through continuous inspections.
- Assists in giving on the job training for those working under him.
- Checks machinery to own satisfaction prior to the surveys.
- To make sure safety in the working areas under his control.
- To impart good practices of leadership.
- To prepare performance appraisal of employees working under him.

Financial Responsibilities
- Authorised to use Company’s all electrical workshop machinery and related equipment

Requirements

- Secondary Technical School Diploma.
- Minimum 6 years experience in the field.
