Engineer - Civil

Mott MacDonald is looking for a Junior Engineer to support the site supervision team on a large water transmission and distribution project in Bahrain.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Follow up construction activities at site
* Ensure the contractor's adherence to agreed specifications and regulations
* Play a supporting role in reviewing contractor's submissions that is shop drawings, materials, RFI, etc.
* Provide all necessary on-site direction
* Support in supervising site inspection staff supervision teams directions
* Check measure of work done
* Observe Mott MacDonald's HSE-site safety practices
* Monitor contractor's resource allocation
* Assist in reviewing the project's close out documents
* Act positively, and participate in all health and safety issues at site
* Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Requirements

* Degree qualified with an engineering degree in Civil Engineering
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar industry.
* A good knowledge of relevant international standards
* Experience in water transmissioon and pumping station projects is considered essential
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential, presentation and verbal communication skills
