Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Key tasks
- Directs, coordinate, train, motivate and supervise all outlets associates and ensure the outlets are performing to its highest operational standard.
- Ensure Ibis culture, service and operational standards, relating to F&B are complied with.
- In charge of planning, organizing, directing and controlling all operations of the high volume, al-a-carte and buffet food and beverage.
- Perform hands on training, coordinating, organizing, leading and motivating team members to perform tasks and duties productively and efficiently.
- Ensure a productive and efficient working environment with high morale in all F&B outlets.
- Handle guest complaints and thorough follow up.
- Maintain a consistently high level of guest service at all times.
- Ensure customer expectations are exceeded and Ibis brand F&B standards are maintained.
- Be involved in compiling, costing and updating all food and beverage menus.
- Able to operate MICROS POS System and Fidelio Materials Control (FMC).
- Ensure outlets are clean and functional at all times.
- Monitor what competitors are doing in the culinary sectors of the business.
- Be aware and implement local environmental municipality regulations and implement this in the Food & Beverage operations.
- Ensure safe food & good hygiene practices and adherence to HACCP Standards.
- Ensure safe working environment in the Food & Beverage outlets.

Requirements

Skills
- Level of Education A level Areas of study Hospitality Professional experiences 1 to 2 years Languages essential English

Essential and optional requirements
- Carry out inventories.
- Able to organize; be innovative and able to plan ahead.
- Maintain strong contact with the daily performance of the F&B operations.
- Ensure proper communication with the kitchen team concerning all restaurant matters, like buffet, a-la-carte, food complaints etc.
- Draw up the work schedules/rosters with budgeted productivity for the teams including breaks, holidays, and cover.
- Implement activities to measure guest satisfaction and take corrective action where required.
- Organize day to day work and communication meetings with the team.
- Take part in the preparation and implementation of the training plan for the department & for all new recruits and existing Associates.
- Monitor the performance of subordinates and ensure they are trained and developed to the required standards.
- Flexible to assist in the manning of the other outlets as directed by the F&B Operations Manager.
- Able to work on split shifts.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
