Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Role:
• To safeguards IT information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.

Job Duties:
• To diligently maintain the banks Information Security Framework and underlying policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• To protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• To meticulously identify, introduce and implement appropriate procedures, including checks and balances, are in place to test these safeguards on a regular basis
• To make it a priority to see that disaster recovery and emergency operating procedures are in place and tested on a regular basis
• To recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
• To implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• To determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• To upgrade systems by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• To keep users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
• To maintains quality service by following organization standards.
• To maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

Requirements

Skills:
• System Administration, Network Security, Problem Solving, Information Security Policies, Informing Others, Process Improvement, On-Call, Network Troubleshooting, Firewall Administration, Network Protocols, Routers, Hubs, and Switches

Qualification:
• Degree holder with 5+ years’ security related work experience, preferably with a financial institution.
• Preferred having recognized industry certification such as CISSP, CISSLP, GIAC or other security certification at a similar level
