WE ARE CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A LEAD LAN SYSTEMS ENGINEER TO JOIN THE THALES SECURITY TEAM IN MANAMA, BAHRAIN.

The Lead LAN Systems Engineer will work in close coordination with the System Engineering Manager, Project Engineering Manager, the Project Manager and the other team members. They will be responsible for all the activities relevant to the LAN system, ensuring the predefined results are on time, within the budget and with the expected level of Quality.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse the Technical Project Scope of Works relevant to the LAN system (scope, technical issues and risk assumptions) - Conduct and perform design for the LAN system, applying technical guidelines and principles communicated by the System Engineering Manager
- Ensure production of adequate documentation and design with relevant Bill of Quantities for all needed materials and spare parts;
- Prepare the technical part of the Requests for Quotations for each material/service to be purchased
- Produce technical procedures, manuals (installation procedures, FAT procedure, commissioning procedure) and define the test instruments to be used on site.
- Manage all the activities concerning potential technical Variations of Scope of Work
- Manage and co-ordinate the activities with the other System Engineers involved, to ensure the integration with OCC and the other subsystems.
- Support Integration Manager in all integration aspects and issues ensuring appropriate co-ordination.
- Conduct the Factory Acceptance Tests with the support of QA/QC, after coordination with Logistic Manager.
- Ensure adequate technical support to on site activities, which include also specific missions on site, when necessary, for start up, supervision, commissioning and closer support.
- Participate to Project Meetings

Requirements

- Proven experience in the design and engineering of LAN / WAN,/ VOIP Communication technologies systems in the Airport domain.
- CCIE / CCNP Certification
- Proven ability to be able to coordinate with external contractors and suppliers.
- Good technical analysis methodology
- System Requirement Management
- Customer facing skills (meetings/presentations)
- Technical document writing
- Technical presentation skills
- Planning and Reporting skills
- Thorough and complete work ethic.
