Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The role of Logistics Manager will include, but not limited to the following:
• Direct inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management.
• Direct warehouse management/distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives, handling both inbound and outbound transactions.
• Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Plan or implement goods flow management systems to meet requirements.
• Train department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
• Analyse the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
• Negotiate transportation rates or services.
• Handling food safety measures and ensuring food is regulated properly within the warehouse, i.e. setting up FIFO, etc.
• Handling fleet management, truck drivers, etc.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Logistics & Warehouse Management with Industry Background in FMCG, specifically with experience in Food or Drinks (Perishable Goods) and inbound and outbound transactions and fleet management.
• Should have experience in Export/Import documentation requirements and experience working with customs.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehousing or similar qualification is preferred.
• Any relevant professional certifications are a plus.
• Must have a strong command of the English, Arabic language is an added advantage.
