Project Engineer

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team in Bahrain. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing residential and building projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Project Engineer will play a key role in coordinating resources, managing subcontractors, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects in the construction and engineering industry.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee building projects from start to finish, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure that projects are completed efficiently.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring that work is completed to the required standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure that all work is being carried out according to the project plan and specifications.
- Prepare and present regular project updates to key stakeholders, including senior management and clients, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Ensure that all projects comply with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings, and implement these where possible.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including resolving any technical issues that may arise during the course of a project.

Salary:
BHD 500 to 750 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in project management within the construction or engineering industry, with a strong track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficient in project management software, as well as AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant engineering tools.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact the project.
- Sound knowledge of construction and engineering principles, as well as relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Professional certification, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar, is a plus.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
