Job description / Role
An experienced Western Expat Project Manager is desired for a complex and fast track civil engineering project in Bahrain. The project forms part of a large scale ongoing industrial & processing facility . 75% of the project consists of complex concrete structures and substructures with large scale drainage and associated utilities . The remaining 25% of the project is built up from support buildings which are a range of steel frame structures and traditional build. What is absolutely essential for this role is that the PROJECT MANAGER hired has strong communication skills with the client and the workforce . The scope of works is relatively simple with a very sensible contract and program …HOWEVER the logistical challenges, lifting spaces and location make the project a challenge.
This project is best suited to an engineer that has clear engineering solutions to combat ongoing challenges. This is 100% a project for a Project Manager seeking to work the grey matter and challenge to perform. Once you have the team performing to maximum capability on a pour cycle then the rest of the project will flow.
Specifics about the project:
• American Client/ Consultant so the specifications on Safety , Quality and Environmental are as high as you will find across the GCC.
• Manpower on the project will peak at around 1,500-1,800
• Project Value $17 Million US Dollars
• The right candidate MUST BE Degree Educated in Civil Engineering from a reputable University otherwise the Client Rep will reject the application (Not the contractors say)
• Chartered Status is desired
Requirements
• Ideally 15 Years Post Graduate Experience
• 2-3 Years GCC exposure
• Clear history of performing as a No1 on site regardless of title whether that is: Project Director, Senior Project Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Delivery Manager, Senior Construction Manager – What is essential to NSR Associates and our client is the duties, responsibilities and coordination you performed.
